Directions
Road
Exit M6 at Junction 40 (Penrith) and join A66 (west) at roundabout, Keep on the A66 until
you reach the Traffic lights outside of HSBC in Workington, Take a right following signs for Maryport and Siddick on the A596,
at next set of Traffic lights proceed straight on. At Mini Roundabout entitled "Calva Brow" take the first exit signposted
Maryport and Carlisle (ground will be visible near the end of this section, to the left across the river) . At Next roundabout
take third exit after crossing the bridge take the First exit off the next roundabout to pull into the stadium. If no
parking is available at the ground use the Tesco Car-park opposite.
Rail
Workington Station is not far from the ground on the Barrow - Carlisle line. When leaving the station
take a left out of the front door and head up the street along side the One way system. Carry on towards the Rugby stadium
which is straight ahead and follow the pavement round to the right. If you keep following the A597 you will spot the red
floodlights opposite the Tesco store.
Bus.
Public transport isn't the best in West Cumbria, if traveling by train via the West Coast Main line
and the connection from Barrow or Carlisle is not suitable You can get a bus from Penrith Rail Station, X4/X5 buses leave
at Half Past every hour and terminate at Workington Bus Station (five past the hour). Return buses leave Workington at quater
past each hour and arrive at Penrith at Ten to the Hour. (* make allowances for late running).
To get to the ground from the bus station turn left out of the Murray road exit and proceed towards
Wilkinson (behind Woolworths), to the left of Wilkinsons is a pathway that leads down to a Car-park follow this walk through
the car-park to the end of the road (by Allerdale House) The ground is to the right of Allerdale House.
